Join Portland Botanical Gardens this summer and take in Portland’s natural beauty at our community-oriented plant strolls!

While PBG is being built, we’re determined to bring you valuable programs and events. Portland Plant Strolls is our first programmatic offering that will allow you to learn about our city’s urban plantscape living just beyond the sidewalk. We’re hosting free, open-to-the-public, guided walks across town to enjoy and connect with the gorgeous flora we see every day.

Portland Plant Strolls will lead walks guided by passionate leaders in our community to share some basic plant identification knowledge. Join your community, learn about the Portland plant scene, and enjoy an opportunity to meet fellow plant people and learn more about PBG!

The Details:

Portland Plant Strolls will take place 10am to 12pm on July 23 & 24 and August 6 & 7, 2022. We’ll meet in St. Johns at Cathedral Park and walks will end by noon. Specifics on routes and end-points will be shared after registration. While exact routes are still being mapped out, we recommend wearing casual attire and comfortable shoes, as there may be a few steep gradients and uneven sidewalks. We also strongly encourage masks to be worn. Groups are limited to 15, children included. Sign up while spots are still available!
